I'm a 25 year-old freelance writer and journalist born in South Africa to British and South African parents. I've lived in the UK since 2005 and now live in the (awfully posh) vicinity of Richmond Park where I like to frolic with the deer at every available opportunity. I have represented South Africa in flatwater marathon kayaking and still compete in both sprint and marathon kayaking in the UK where I am a member of the world's oldest canoe club, Royal CC based in Teddington. Having completed my BA Language and Literature (Specialising in Creative Writing) through the University of South Africa, I am pursuing a career in journalism and copywriting and I intend to have a novel published in the not-too-distant future. I have worked in journalism and PR primarily in the Wine and Spirits field and I have been awarded the Advanced Diploma in Spirits from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). My true loves in life (apart from frolicking with my local deer) are reading, writing, music, sport and playing guitar and I'm fortunate enough to be able to do them all.
