How to make taco seasoning mix

Your rating: None
Commercial taco seasoning mix is expensive, but it's easy to make your own at home for a fraction of the cost.
What you'll need:
1 teaspoon onion granules
1/2 teaspoon mild or hot chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Mix all ingredients together.
Store any leftovers in a small jar, such as an old spice jar.
This recipe is approximately equivalent to one packet of commercial taco seasoning mix.
Use mild or hot chilli powder, according to taste.
