How To make American Burgers

Britain, let's make the best of the sunshine and whip out the barbeque. Here is a wonderful, tasty recipe for home-made burgers, American style. Quick and easy to make, serves 4.
What you'll need: 
1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
1lb of lean minced beef
1 large garlic clove, crushed
2 tsps ground coriander and 2tsps tomato puree or ketchup
2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley, thyme and oregano), could also used dried herbs
dash of worchestershire sauce, 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
1 tbsp lightly beaten egg
flour, for shaping, 1 tbsp vegatable oil
salt and black pepper
4 burger buns, mixed salad, chips and relish
1: 
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, until softened. Remove from the pan, drain on kitchen paper and leave to cool.
2: 
Mix together the beef, garlic, spices, tomato puree or ketchup, worchestershire sauce, herbs, mustard, beaten egg and seasoning. Stir in the onions.
3: 
Sprinkle a board with flour, and shape the mixture into four burgers. Cover and chill for 15 minmutes.
4: 
Cook the burgers on the barbeque for about 5 minutes on each side, according to taste.
5: 
Serve in the burger buns, with salad, chips and relish.
Conclusion: 
There we have it, quick and easy American Style burgers. Enjoy!
Warnings: 
Make sure the burger is cooked through to the middle and is piping hot to taste, to avoid upset tummies.
