How to restore a default file association in Windows 7

You have installed a program and the program has taken control of certain file types. For example, you have installed a picture editing program and everytime you open a jpg file it opens in the new program, but you just want to use the windows photo viewer.
What you'll need: 
PC
Windows 7
1: 
Press the start button and select control panel
2: 
Select: Programs
3: 
Select: Make a file type always open in a specific program
4: 
Find the file association and select ie jpg.
5: 
Press change program top right
6: 
Select the program you want to open the file with ie for jpg select Windows Photo Viewer.
Conclusion: 
Each and every file on windows has a file association this identifies what the file is. When installing programs always check and unselect the file associations otherwise that program will take control.
