How To Make A Shortbread Pie Crust

Your rating: None
This is a really quick and easy pie crust to make when time doesn’t allow. This pie crust can be used for a cheesecake base or any other dessert recipe that requires a pie crust.
What you'll need:
100 grams plain flour
2 tablespoons icing sugar
200 grams butter
Food processor (optional)
Pie dish
Sift flour and sugar with the sieve into the bowl.
Add the butter to the flour and sugar. Rub the ingredients together with your hand until it resembles crumbs. You can do this with the food processor if you want.
Transfer the mixture to a pie dish and press down evenly. Chill the pie crust in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Take pie crust from the fridge and bake at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
Let the pie crust cool. You can use the shortbread pie crust for any dessert you want now.
A shortbread pie crust will give you a rich and fuller texture to your dessert base. If you want to turn this shortbread pie crust into a vegan pie crust, use vegan butter instead.
