How To Make S’mores

Your rating: None
S’mores (spelt smores as well) is an American treat, which involves roasting marshmallows over a campfire. Some Americans say the name s’more is a shortened word for the words “some more”. The roasted marshmallow and a piece of chocolate are placed in between two Graham crackers. The marshmallow and chocolate will melt together to give you a toasted melted snack. For those who don’t have access to a fire for roasting marshmallows, these marshmallows will be done in an oven at home. You can make many smores at once when doing them in the oven.
What you'll need:
Graham crackers
Chocolate bar
Marshmallows
Ordinary oven
Baking tray covered with baking sheet
1:
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
2:
Break a Graham cracker in half and place one half of cracker on the baking tray with baking sheet. Place a marshmallow in the middle of Graham cracker and bake in oven for 4 minutes. You will notice the marshmallow puff out slightly, this is normal.
3:
Remove from the oven and place a piece of the chocolate bar on the warm marshmallow, press it down and place the other half of Graham cracker on top. Leave on warm baking tray for a minute.
4:
Your s’more is ready to be eaten.
Conclusion:
You can make your own graham crackers for the s’mores snack. I’ve written an article on how to make Graham crackers and there is a recipe for making gluten and dairy free Graham crackers as well. Hershey’s milk chocolate bar is traditionally used in America for smores. But you can use your favourite chocolate bar or a vegan chocolate instead. There is an online site link below for those who crave a Hersey bar for their smores. You can use vegan marshmallows instead of the commercial marshmallows which contain animal gelatine. There’s a link below for an online site which supply vegan marshmallows.
Tips:
You can warm the top cracker for your smores as well.
You can warm the whole snack together in the oven for 2 minutes.
Peanut butter can be used instead of chocolate for a different taste.
