Your rating: None Average: 5 (1 vote)
If your image of Pimm's is one of summer, of fresh strawberries, cucumber, lemon and orange mingling with Pimm's No. 1 cup, lemonade and ginger ale, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Pimm's Winter Cup is the perfect remedy for dark, cold winter nights.
What you'll need:
50ml/1.5oz Pimm's No. 3 Winter Cup
350ml/11oz cloudy apple juice
1 green apple
½ orange
3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Vanilla pod/extract
Paring knife
Small pot
Core the green apple and cut into small chunks, placing the pieces in a small pot. Cut the orange into thin slices and add it to the apples.
Pour the Pimm's Winter Cup and the cloudy apple juice into the pot before placing it on the hob above a medium flame.
Cut a small slice of fresh ginger and add it to the pan along with the cloves, cinnamon and vanilla pod/extract.
Heat the mixture until it begins to simmer. Strain through a sieve into a mug or thick-sided wine glass.
Garnish with a slice of fresh green apple.
