How To make Pesto

Pesto is a Italian sauce made from fresh basil, parmesan cheese, and pine nuts. In Italy, it is eaten with all sorts of dishes; it is stirred into soups, added to pasta or spooned over vegatables.
What you'll need: 
1 garlic clove
30g fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp pine nuts
30g parmesan cheese
4 tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
1: 
Peel the skin from the garlic clove.
2: 
Put the basil, peeled garlic clove, pine nuts and the olive oil into a food processor or a blender. Make sure the lid is on properly.
3: 
Turn the food processor or the blender up to its highest speed. Blend the ingredients together to make a thick, creamy sauce.
4: 
Pour the sauce into a bowl.
5: 
Grate the parmesan cheese into the sauce, and stir everything together. Season with a little salt and black pepper.
Conclusion: 
There we have a wonderful Italian Pesto Sauce. Can be added to your favourite pasta, or spooned over vegatables or spread onto thinly sliced, toasted, ciabatta bread.
Tips: 
Pesto sauce is made traditionally with a pestle and mortar. You could adopt this method, if you dont have a food processor or a blender.
