How to make a Daiquiri cocktail

Your rating: None Average: 5 (1 vote)
The Daiquiri is a classic cocktail from Cuba. Can be served straight up (in a martini glass), on the rocks (in a short glass over ice), or frozen (put in a blender with ice and whizzed to a slush).
What you'll need:
4 Lime Wedges
2tsp white sugar
50ml Rum
Cocktail Shaker
Martini Glass (for straight up)
Add ice and water to the martini glass to chill it.
Add the limes, sugar and rum to the cocktail shaker. Top up with ice.
Shake the shaker until there is condensation on the outside of the tin.
Discard the water and ice from the martini glass.
Strain the contents of the shaker into the martini glass.
You can choose to garnish this cocktail however you like. A lime wheel or a zest spiral work well.
