How to make a Bloody Mary cocktail
There are a million and one different variations of the Bloody Mary (see tips at the bottom for interesting twists).
What you'll need:
1 lemon wedge
6-8 dashes Worcestershire sauce
3 dashes of Tobasco
Teaspoon of Horseradish sauce
150ml Tomato Juice
Salt and Pepper
Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker (only a pinch of salt and pepper, and don't add the celery at this point).
Add ice and carefully roll the shaker over and over (shaking hard will damage the taste of the tomato juice).
Fill a long glass with ice, and pour in the contents of the shaker.
Garnish with the celery stick and some freshly ground black pepper.
To make it spicier just add more tobasco
You can use wasabi instead of horseradish to make an 'Okinowa Mary'
Fresh herbs such as basil and corriander work really well in a Bloody Mary, just make sure you smash it in the bottom of the shaker first
Use tomato juice ice cubes to reduce dilution
If you don't like celery you can use a big slice of cucumber instead
Too much tobasco will cause all manor of terrible problems!
