How to make an Aviation cocktail

Your rating: None Average: 5 (1 vote)
The Aviation is a great gin drink with a hint of cherry. How good the drink is really depends on the gin you use so push the boat out a bit if possible.
What you'll need:
50ml Gin
12.5ml Marischino Liqueur
15ml Lemon Juice
Maraschino cherries
Martini Glass
Cocktail Shaker
Strainer (if your shaker doesn't have one built in)
Add ice and a little water to the Martini glass to chill it. Set it to one side.
Take the cocktail shaker and add the Gin, Maraschino Liqueur, and Lemon juice. Fill with ice and shake until there is condensation on the outside of the shaker.
Pour away the ice and water from the Martini glass.
Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a single maraschino cherry.
