How to hide online status on Facebook

Your rating: None
Hiding your online status on Facebook will result in friends (and those nosier types!) not being able to see when you're online so you can go about your business in peace!
What you'll need:
Facebook account - logged on
In previous incarnations of Facebook, the online status was controlled from the privacy settings. However, that's now changed to the "options" in the bottom right corner where your online friends are listed.
Click on the friends box in the bottom right hand corner and select options.
From here, you can then select to go "offline" (meaning your status is hidden from your friends) or go "online" (resulting in your friends being able to see when you're online).
