How to care for leather shoes

Your rating: None
Leather shoes are a great investment, when looked after properly they will last a great many years.
What you'll need:
Shoe brush
Leather shoe cream
Leather spray
2 Cloths
Remove any laces from your shoes if there are any. Brush your leather shoes to remove any dust or debris.
Apply the leather shoe cream to your shoes with the cloth making sure to buff the cream into the leather.
Wait a couple of hours and using a clean cloth buff the shoes in circular motions, this will make them gleam.
To protect your shoes from the weather, follow the directions of your leather protectant. Usually if it is a cream it will be applied in the same way as listed above. However if it is a spray, spray your leather shoes evenly and allow to dry for a couple of hours before using them.
Clean your shoes once a fortnight or when needed, this will make them last longer
Use shoe trees to allow them to keep their shape
Do not use a heater to dry your shoes or stuff them with newspapers when wet as this can stain them
